Vietnam Trip Day 3.
We went to Bui Thi Xuan Secondary School early in the morning.
** Lols! This one very funny. Sabrina got very tired so shei leaned my head on liting's, and tzinyi said "hey let's take picture!", and junjie's somehow got inside too. :D
Opening ceremony??
After that we performed our "Chicken Dance" before a Q&A session between ZHSS and BTXSS. :D
Then we attended a class. :D The lady in red is the form teacher.

Then we went this place which looked like a grocery store. Lols.
And later we had lunch at a very nice restaurant. (:
With pretty flowers! But so sad sabrina didnt see any easter lilies in Dalat city. :(
(but she turned away from sabrina's camera!)

CIP #1 AT THE TRIBAL VILLAGE : Build barriers.
** LITING CLOSE-UP #2! sabrina took this because sibyl took a close-up picture of the smaller boy's eyelashes, putting her camera just like 3cm away from his face?? Haha! Sibyl's so funny! So she tried it on Liting. :P
Then it started raining so all of us went into the house for shelter. (:
Sabrina's reflections:
Today was pretty memorable. First thing in the morning, we visited Bui Thi Xuan Secondary School for our Exchange Programme. The teachers and students over there were very friendly and they gave us a really warm welcome once we arrived. At first i was still afraid that communication would be slightly hard, but we had a lot of fun interacting with the students when we attended one of their lessons together with them. (: Phung, whom i sat with during their lesson, didnt have the chance to go oversea or even visit the Cu Chi Tunnel in her own country. From this, i really feel that singaporeans are very fortunate. At least we can go to the places over and over again until we got sick?? But that's also maybe due the fact that our travelling time around the country is very short. Anyway, next up, the trip to the Strawberry farm was fun! First time i see and pluck fresh strawberries! So exciting! And i dont mean those "fresh" ones we see at Fairprice. Lols! It was really an eye-opener for me. (: Last but not least, we also did our first CIP at the Tribal Village. We helped to build barriers and it was fun, despite the fact that my left hand was scratched by the rough surface of the branches and got 3 cuts. :P I think i can get the Most-Pretty-Hand-Award with 3 huge plasters! Haha!
Tzinyi's Reflection:
Today was quite fun because of the school visit. We got a really warm welcome when we arrived, something I didn expect because honestly I cant imagine us welcoming them as warmly if we were the hosts. it wasnt much of a problem communicating with them because they could speak english also, although not as fluent as us, but it is a pretty good achievement for them because they learn at least 3 languages. We went into this class where we were actually supposed to have lessons with them, but because the computer was spoiled so we had interaction instead. honestly i prefered this instead cos in this way we really got to know them better. some of them were quite shy though, they didnt dare to speak to us because they were afraid to due to their poor grasp of english. But overall I liked interacting with them and we were all really sad when it was time to say goodbye. But I'm sure we'll never forget our new found friends. After this we went to the strawberry farms where we picked strawberries in the rain where the ground was really wet and muddy. and some of the strawberries were rotten, not like those fresh and red ones we see in supermarkets haha. lastly we went to the tribal village for CIP, where we helped to build barriers to prevent wild animals from entering their houses, etc. This was one part where I couldnt contribute much haha, because mrs wong sent us ( me, corrine, boonkiat, and yanling) to the bus to rest cos it was raining and we were already sick. but we did contribute financially! by buying some purses etc made by the tribal people! :D
